To adjust the scientific methods of research of Turka river mouth and valley, the expedition ULM and the basic team of the expedition ‘TransEurasian Flight: Leman-Baikal’ were transferred to Turka settlement, Pribaikalsky district, Republic of Buryatia.

For several days on the territory of the Special Economic Zone ‘Baikal Harbour’ training flights were conducted and the program for the new summer research expedition season was worked out. On August 23rd, 2014 a working meeting was held at the Turka airfield. In the meeting team members took part as well as the organizing committee members – including Chairman of the FPLB Board of Truistees M.Slipenchuk, FPLB Vice-presidents B.Tzyrenov and Yu.Sapunov, FPLB Executive Director R.Afonin, FPLB deputy director I.Krylova, scientist-specialist from Switzerland Y.Akhtman and others.

Before working meeting in Turka started, in the framework of the Third International Forum ‘Baikal Dialogue’ that was held in the neighbouring settlement Gremyachinsk Yosef Akhtman conducted a presentation of the results of the 2nd summer season of the  ‘TransEurasian Flight: Leman-Baikal’ research expedition for the guests and participants in the Forum.
